I found this on CNN today (http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/offbea ... cabra.KSAT)

After watching the video I was not quite sure what to make of it. It looked like a hairless dog. The taxidermist showing it off remarked about the front legs being longer than the rear, but the position it was in, made it difficult for me to see that.

Allot of these have been floating around, most from mexico or south america. To me it looks like some sort of cross breeding, short legs or not. These don't fit the discription of the chupracabra that everyone reports though. I'm skeptical.

Myself as well. I have seen other pictures on the internet of animal remains that some believe to be those of the Chupacabra.

----------------------------------

These all seem to be the same family/class of animal since the remains in the CNN story closely resembles these photos (see above) quite closely.

Although, these actual photos don't seem to match eye-witness descriptions of the Chupacabra seen alive in the wild which depicts a creature that seems to be more Bi-pedal in nature. Of course, we all have to take into consideration that eye-witness testimony is quite subjective and unless the witness is an experience "observer" important details can be mis-communicated or re-interpreted depending on the situation surrounding the sighting and the witness.

I found another report at CNN.com regarding another sighting and video footage of a carcass of a suspected Chupacabra. After viewing the video once or twice I can't really say what it is.

Coyotes are common in the area of the United States that this came from. But it is smaller, and again (as above) has shorter than usual legs.

Perhaps it is the unfortunate result of a birth defect in the species. Then again, maybe not. I would like to see a scientist report that would detail the examination of hair and other areas of the body which would allude to its possible origin.

In any case, it is god awful ugly.

Well, it looks like the sightings of Chupacabras are becoming as numerous as the earthquakes that have been experienced around the world since late last year.

I noted two different stories (from CNN and Yahoo.ca) about a rash of different sightings, captures and discoveries of dead animals which people are rushing to classify as the elusive creature mentioned in myth and legend.

See the links below for the stories and decide for yourself. Please note that the Yahoo article doesn't carry any photos or video.

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/yahoocanada/ ... d_in_texas

So any opinions on these most recent stories?
